Wholesale Internet provides users with full-featured dedicated
servers, and colocation services at a price you can afford. Our number one

Wholesale Internet has been offering services since September
1999 and has been fortunate to have the opportunity to recently move our operations to our new, "Class A" datacenter in Kansas City, MO. Our
NOC is located in the same building as 5 of the Nations largest Tier 1
Internet providers!

Network Info
Wholesale Internet, Inc. owns and operates its data center. We acquired the Cable and Wireless data center in July of 2003.
Wholesale Internet's carefully managed web servers are located on dual power
grids in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. All servers are wired into an uninterruptible power supply, as well as
connected to a seperate power sub-station we share with MCI. We also
utilize Lorain DC inverters and rectifiers.
Our network operations center is cooled by dual 20 ton Liebert air
conditioning units with a direct back-up water feed from the City of Kansas
City, Missouri.
The WholesaleInternet.net network utilizes a 2.5G direct fiber feed to
Global Crossing as well as a 100 MB Ethernet drops from Cogent and WilTel
Communications, and is running redundant BGP4 routing.
Level3 is on the way in mid-2004. Our building itself is home to multiple
tier-1 providers such as WiltelT, QwestT, AT&TT, MCIT, CogentT, Xspedius
CommunicationsT, and Global Crossing.. .to name a few. If we don't have a
provider you like, it's simply a matter of running fiber to their floor.
Hardware
Servers are powered by IntelT/AMDT Processors, 3ComT/IntelT NICs, PC100/133
SDRAM/PC2100 DDR, and ONLY major name brand components. UPS Systems provide
the power backups.
Software
Wholesale Internet, Inc. utilizes the Red HatT Linux operating system. Red HatT Linux is a highly configurable system, and well known for speed and stability. Red HatT Linux servers have been documented to remain operating for up to one year at a time without even requiring a reboot. The ApacheT Web Server nicely compliments the Red HatT Linux Operating System.
Of course, you can load whatever you want on your box.
We offer Windows hosting.
Security
Facility (interior and exterior) monitoring is provided by a SensormaticT
Virtual Real-Time & Time Lapse HD Video System over SensormaticT CCTV
cameras via the Internet. Building access is secured 24/7 by live personnel
with electronic key access as the only means of building entry after normal
business hours. The NOC itself resides on the 9th floor, with no exterior
access, behind dual sets of solid, 2 inch thick, oak doors built especially
for a "Class A" data center like ours.
All Wholesale Internet, Inc. customers are chaperoned while in the Network
Operations Center. Your server is safe with us.
